2021.12.06 14:12 Mammoth_Prior6157 This is embarrassing

I went to the beach w the fam. And I’m a very picky eater. I had 3 tacos just w the tortilla lettuce and cheese. And it’s just gotten to the point where they all say something every single time. Like try something else blah blah blah it’s not gonna hurt u. LIKE I KNOW. It still scares me. Don’t u think I want a plate of loaded nachos or some sea food and eat like everyone else? It just grosses me out and I just can’t eat that stuff.
And the fam knows that so idk y they need to bring it up every single time I eat w them.. I just wish I was born without this stupid phobia cause it ruins every single aspect of my life x10.
Couldn’t even fully enjoy the vacation I was worried I’m going to catch something while away from home. Like wtf is this life when I’m always in fear 24/7. Even at home.

2021.12.06 14:12 WillTook Which president do my political views align with most?

Maybe I should preface this by noting that I'm from a small, post-socialist Central European country, but in a true European spirit, I'll be talking mainly about America as if I knew how to fix it. And also, I'm kind of doing this on a whim and not putting too much thought into it, I could make a far better case for my personal views than this.
I generally believe in a mixed market economy with regulation where needed (especially when it comes to issues of health and safety). I'm very pro-small business and think it should be not only easy, but also encouraged for people to start their own businesses. I find the concept of private property extremely important. Though at the same time I'm highly skeptical of large corporations and I'm certainly not opposed to using state power for breaking up corporate monopolies. I place a high degree of value on healthcare and education and think both should be free, i.e. people should be taxed in order for everyone to have access to "free" healthcare and education. Anything is better than what the US currently has. I'm also pretty protectionistic, I think a nation should put its economic interests first. The deindustrialization of America in the late 20th century is the greatest tragedy in American history since the Civil war. I place a lot of value on environmentalism and conservation as well.
In an ideal world, I would support a sort of anarchistic society. But this is not real world. Truly small government can only work in small societies with a high degree of social cohesion, and that is certainly not modern America. In America a relatively strong government is needed. A relatively strong government that should nonetheless fully and completely respect the rights and privacy of its citizens, and under which an individual always comes first. I believe the true problem with the government is corruption and the interests of large corporations, and if we focused on fixing those issues we wouldn't have to worry about "big government". Though again, the rights of the individual are paramount.
Social issues and religion
I'm generally a pretty libertarian person, do whatever you want as long as you don't bother anyone else. And sure. But at the same time, I am a big believer in morality, and that some kinds of behavior should be strongly discouraged by people. The values I idolize are strength, honesty, hard work and compassion. Witnessing a society that doesn't strongly value these things is regretful. I firmly believe in the quote "the most extraordinary thing in the world is an ordinary man and an ordinary woman and their ordinary children". There is nothing nobler someone can do than to be a decent person and bring up decent children. Family values are extremely important and precisely what holds society together, and anything that threatens it in any way should be treated with utmost condemnation (this doesn't include LGBTQ+ rights, I don't think a decent same-sex couple is any different from a decent heterosexual couple). The basic values of Western Christianity form most of the buildings blocks of Western civilization, as well as the modern "neoliberal" world order, which is by far the best, most peaceful, and most prosperous time to be alive in the entire world, and as such should be held in high regard. I do believe in freedom of religion, but at the end of the day, America and European countries were built upon Western Christianity, and it is foolish to pretend otherwise.
As I have alluded to, I believe in the concept of Western civilization (which I define as traditionally Catholic or Protestant cultures) and I see myself as a proud member of it. I find the relatively recent phenomenon of discrediting everything the West has accomplished, as well as the very idea of the West, quite concerning, to say the least. It's a lot easier to view the world through the lens of "oppressor-victim" than to actually think critically and realize how complex history is and that nothing is black and white. Though on the other hand, it's even easier to think "we good, they bad".
Law and order
I have a high degree of respect for justice, and firmly believe in the rule of law. I support relatively strict punishments for criminals, but think everyone should be equally treated with respect and decency while in prison and in court, regardless of whether they deserve it or not. I don't believe in "cruel or unusual punishments", and consider capital punishment as such. Like I said before, I strongly believe in free speech, and I also believe in the right to bear arms, but with sensible regulation.
A society without democracy is nothing. Simple as. I fully recognize the faults of democracy, but I believe it to be mandatory for a moral society. A poor, but free and democratic society will always be inherently better than a rich, but undemocratic one (though obviously democracy and wealth correlate quite well, for like a million reasons). That's not to say I'm opposed to (constitutional) monarchism, as I see it as a noteworthy relic from the past, at least in the case of Western societies (I'm not even pretending not to be biased).
I think that should do it, I have pretty strong opinions, but I'm a moderate person and willing to hear different perspectives and accept criticism.

2021.12.06 14:12 EricaMcQueen Manga where delinquent girl falls in love with a shy guy

(I hope this is the correct subreddit)
Hi, I'm looking for a manga I've read when I was a teenager. It was a comedy romance manga. The protagonist was delinquent who fell in love with a shy and smart guy. I think his name was Tanaka.
I can't really remember the details, but I'm pretty sure that they also had some wacky friends, like a flamboyant dude who was always really jealous of Tanaka(?) but they became friends somehow. Then there was a girl who was afraid of the delinquent girl but they became friends too.
I know it's not a lot, but I hope you guys can help me find it. It was the first manga I've ever read and probably the best one too.

2021.12.06 14:12 Cold_Instruction_715 Lucifer Appeared to me I’m new to these topics, but hear this out

Lucifer appeared to me in a LSD trip, from the corner of my eyes I could discern a black terrifying something, I gathered strength and turned to see it. It was the most beautiful being glowing with wings , the light was so bright I couldn’t discern face, limbs, ect just like a bright glowing light with wings, I could barely see the wings tbh, however it was the most loving, calming energy I’ve ever experienced, I wasn’t afraid, it somehow talked to me without spoken words, showed me how we are made up of, ect but the most profound thing he told me was to take control of my life, to be righteous, and that it was Jesus who tempted eve to take the fruit. He said that the biblical stories are scientific in nature, Adam being the mind and eve being the intellect. Before, the intellect was dormant within humans, the intellect showed men how to cook, make metals, ect. Before, man lived among the animals, man had no idea or concept of the tomorrow, didn’t even knew he was bound to die, total ignorance, however the intellect taught primitive men that he too would one day die, before no one knew death existed (abstractly). In other words the intellect(eve) gave the mind (Adam) the product (fruit) of good and evil. And yes, intellect can be used for good and evil. The intellect showed primitive man, that surely one day they’ll die, and because they now knew about death, they now worked and toiled the soil for tomorrow’s sustenance ect, and because they were aware of death and time, wars and all evil came about, because of the fear of death, fear of tomorrow’s resources, ect. But the Intellect also showed men how to implement laws ect. Basically our duty here is to create heaven on earth. Jesus was the one in the “garden” that opened men’s intellect, well Lucifer and Jesus are one and the same. After many laws were erected, time passed and again,Lucifer incarnated to further the evolution of man by saying” yes these laws helped us at a certain point, however now, they became outdated, that’s where the New Testament comes in. And soon change will take effect, away with the old in with the new. Lucifer showed me all my past lives, and said, every time you come and do the same thing over and over again, you come and Rule and return to do the same. He said I could return back to the source but I decided to stay until each one of us achieves unity and create heaven on earth. Told me I had a great mission and that that’s why He helped me to make shit happen, things that must. Anyone have any theory or can I contact a real satanist, I’m new to it, Lucifer is not as I thought before, to do evil ect, more like to be well balanced within yourself, to contain myself and to tame my desires, basically saying “ now your desires, emotions, ect don’t control you, now you control your desires, emotions, ect” my Facebook is Vale Arriaga from Laredo, Tx. Now this isn’t made up serious guidance will be appreciated
